UAS Ultimate

This is the UAS Porfolio Page for UAS Ultimate Frisbee players.

Please feel free to post invitations to play, suggestions of outings, events, or whatever might be needed. Some will want to use this as a way to ask for rides from the group, and others will post links to information about the game and strategy involved. Invite anyone interested and let's get playing! See you there!

Another Weekend Ultimate Update

Hey guys,

Here's the summary (at least scroll down and read the BLUE stuff):

1) Indoor
2) Outdoor
3) More indoor
4) Intramurals
5) Spread the word!

Read on!

====== The Good Stuff ======

1) INDOORS: Tomorrow!

Friday night, 5:30-7:30 at the rec center. Note the time change - that's for all the whiners (myself included) that it's hard to magically teleport from work ending at 5 to ultimate starting at 5. Now you have a 30 minute window. No whining.

2) OUTDOORS: Sunday!

What's the deal? Do we want to play outside? Shea & Phil have generously made the turf available for us, but turnout has been a bit on the low side (ask Forest!) If you would like to play outside, rain or shine on sunday at 5pm, reply to this message - if I get no responses, I will cancel the outdoor times.

3) MORE INDOOR: Monday!

Yep, got indoors on Monday:  Rec Center, 5:30-7:30pm. Be there.

4) INTRAMURALS: Coming soon!

I've seen posters up saying registration was open, so you might wanna check out the Rec Center web site for more details (uas.alaska.edu/rec). I'm not sure about the season, duration, teams, etc, but I'd bet I'll pass on the word as I hear more.

5) SREAD THE WORD: Do it!

Yeah, so the spirit of ultimate is all about fun, athletesism (if that's the spelling of it), and more fun. Bring your friends out. Let them know they're welcome to join us, no matter their experience level.

Those of us who are semi-experienced will teach the young padawan new-comers. And those of you who are all expert and stuff can help us semi-experienced folk improve our game!

Oh, and for those of you who are students, be sure to update your BubbleNet profile (uas.alaska.edu/bubblenet) so that we can keep in touch with one another!

That's all for now!

-Cody
