Perkins & Will Presentation May 9-11

During the Series 2 visits, the Perkins+Will team updated subsequent presentations built on feedback, comments and suggestions from each meeting.  On May 9th, the team met with the Provosts' Council and Deans, and Student Government; on May 10th, feedback was receved in a Campus wide workshop from faculty, students and staff, facilities services and a meeting with the downtown campus Associate Dean.  On May 11th, the team met with the executive cabinet and discussed feedback from previous meetings.  At that time, the "Main Street" concept was removed mainly because it included lands that University did not own.  Worthy ideas from this concept was moved to the two remaining concepts.

Thank you for taking the time to listen to our concerns.

I feel that we should limit development to disturbed areas to preserve habitat and keep our beautiful views.

For Juneau, I like the Main Street Concept primarily and the Lake Front Concept secondarily.  Keep the building density high and close to the main campus.  Maybe build additional new residence halls on the main campus.  Get the soccer field built soon!  Moving Bill Ray classes to Auke Lake Campus makes sense.

Keep the other buildings/property by the Marine tech center for shuttles.
