The Pathways Internship program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to blend academic studies and Federal work experience into a planned progressive educational program. The program provides formal periods of work experience while attending school.
Assist senior resource management and science staff with collecting, managing, analyzing, and displaying digital geographic information, including documenting resource localities through the use of aerial photos, topographic maps and global positioning equipment (GPS – Trimble Geo XT, RTK), entering GPS data into the park's Geographic Information System (GIS) database, and drafting summary reports, visual displays, and presentations on resource surveys, large spatial datasets, and GIS model results.
