Student Research Poster Session- This evening!

We would like to invite you to participate this (Thursday) evening in the 8th annual UAS Student Poster Session in Biogeography, Temperate Rainforest Ecology, and Geographic Information Systems.  Approximately 45 students across 4 classes will present materials on their semester-long research projects on a variety of topics like the importance of salmon distribution to rainforest ecosystems, the relationship between oceanographic factors and kelp distribution,  and the impacts of climate change on permafrost, Alaska’s pollinators, and invasive species.  Your feedback and interaction with students enhance student learning and this year, we are asking to attendees to help evaluate the best posters…so please stop by this evening after work and support these students!  (The posters will be up for about a week after the session in case you can’t make this event.)

Who: Open to all UAS faculty, staff, and students and anyone from the Juneau Public

What: Student Poster Session in Biogeography, Temperate Rainforest Ecology, and GIS

When: Thursday December 5th  5:30 – 7:30pm

Where: 2nd floor of Soboleff Building, UAS Main Campus

 Thanks!
