Internship at the Kensington Gold Mine

Folow Pete and other UAS ENVS alums to the gold!

We have an internship opportunity in our environmental department for this coming summer. It would be great to get someone from the Environmental Science program at UAS. They would need to be available by May 10th for orientation and MSHA (mine safety) training. Feel free to contact me with any questions.

MGVC bookstore is hiring

The visitor center’s bookstore is operated by the non-profit Alaska Geographic. They will be hiring staff for the summer. One of the special advantages of Ak Geo jobs is their flexible hours. They accommodate the working hours of students as much as they appreciate and flex work time for the well-read senior adults who can explain the content of their Alaska books.
For now the hiring occurs through the Anchorage office; there are no representatives in Juneau during winter.
