Student RA position-GIS

Jason Amundson (new faculty in Geophysics) is seeking an undergraduate
research assistant to help with collecting, archiving, and analyzing
satellite imagery of the Juneau Icefield. The imagery will be used to
(1) study glacier area change, (2) serve as reconnaisance for larger
field-based proposals, and (3) develop an informational website that
will advertise the Juneau Icefield as a great research location. The
prospective student should have strong spatial skills and in interest in
GIS programming and/or web development. Experience with these tools is a
plus but not required. Hours are negotiable, but expect 5-10 hours per week.
